Tim Daly

New York City, 1 maart 1956) is een Amerikaanse acteur, producer en regisseur.
Hij is de zoon van acteur James Daly en actrice Hope Newell, en heeft 3 zussen, actrice Tyne Daly, Mary Glynn (Mark Snow's vrouw) en Pegeen Michael. Zijn zwager is Mark Snow. Hij een beetje Iers en hij is familie van voormalig nieuwslezer en show host John Charles Daly. Hij ging naar de The Putney School, waar hij begon met acteren. Hij begon zijn professionele carrière als acteur toen hij een student was op de Bennington College in Vermont, waar hij literatuur en theater studeerde. Hij heeft sinds 1979 een Bachelor of Arts. Hij verhuisde na zijn studie naar New York om verder acteren en zingen te studeren.
Op 18 september 1982 trouwde hij met Amy Van Nostrand. Zij hebben twee kinderen:
